Obituary for Darlene Juanita Gray

Darlene Juanita Gray, 51, of New Orleans, LA, passed away on March 8, 2017, at Merit Health Wesley. She was born on December 28, 1965, in New Orleans, LA. Darlene was a caring person and loved her family. She attended Grambling State University and worked at Pace Headstart in Hattiesburg, MS.
Darlene is preceded in death by her father, Charles Lord Gray, Sr.; step-father, Robert Howard; grandmother, Rosella Robinson; two uncles, Emile and Michael Robinson; one nephew, Kevin Ford. She is survived by her mother, Rosella Howard; daughter, Deshaun Gray; grandson, Da’Kobi Carter; six siblings: Margaret (Henry) Spencer, Donna (Marlon) Richardson, Gayle (Whitney ,Sr.) Bardell, Ronnie Gray, Tomeka Gray and Charles Gray, Jr.; a special friend, Willie Naylor; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017, from 1-2pm in Forrest Chapel with the memorial service at 2:00. An additional visitation will be Saturday, March 18, 2017, 10am with the service to follow at 11:00 at Israelite Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA.
