Betty Parker Hammond, 83, of Hattiesburg, passed away on September 18, 2017, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born on June 15, 1934, to Jesse and Inez Parker in Lamar County.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; three siblings: Carley Parker, Howard Parker and Reggie Parker. She is survived by three children: Rebecca Hammond, Robert Hammond (Tess) and Pamela Carter (Larry); one grandson, Joshua (Christian); two great grandchildren, Jacob and Connor; six siblings: Glenn Parker, Mary Lou Doodokyan, Amy Johnson, Paul Parker, Hershel Parker and Elizabeth Kintzell.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Main Street Baptist Church Multimedia Fund in honor of Mrs. Betty.
Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2017, 10- 11am at Forrest Funeral Home with the service to follow at 11am, in Forrest Chapel. Interment will be at Pleasant Home Cemetery.
