Larry H. Hatt, 78, passed away August 14, 2015, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Larry was born on January 15, 1937, in Bingham, Utah, to George and Bertis Mitchell Hatt. Mr. Hatt served in the U.S. Army for three years. He worked for the Barrick Mercury Mines for several years in Tooele, Utah. He was an electrician and Instrument Technician and retired from Kennecott Copper after 30 years. Mr. Hatt was also a member of the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mr. Hatt is survived by his wife, Betty McDonald Hatt; three sons: Kevin Hatt (Wendy) of California, Jamie Nobles and Jeffery Nobles (Trudy) both of Texas; two daughters: Bobbie Warburton of Utah and Rhonda Nobles of the Midway community; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; three sisters: Edith Scott, Elaine, and Susie all of Utah; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Wade and son, Rick Nobles.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 9-11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2502 Old Hwy 24, Hattiesburg, MS, with the service to follow at 11am. Interment will be at Morriston Cemetery . Mr. Hatt will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
