Obituary for Joe Max Jones

Joe Max  Jones
Joe Max Jones, 77, of Hattiesburg, passed away on May 14, 2016, at his home with his wife and close friends by his side. Joe was born on October 15, 1938, to Vernon and Anna Butler Jones in McKenzie, AL. He was the youngest of nine children. He was a retired plumber and at one time owned a trucking business. Joe was a member of Maybank Baptist Church.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Shelby; one sister, Bob Davis; two daughters, a son, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, from 10:30-12:00 at Forrest Funeral Home. The service will follow at 12:00 in Forrest Chapel. The service will be officiated by Brother John Kittrell. Interment is at Rawls Springs Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the charity of your choice in Joe’s memory.
