Obituary for Phyllis Joyner McSwain

Phyllis Joyner McSwain, 76, of New Augusta, passed away on October 10, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 19, 1940, to Bill and Flossie Joyner in Pulaski, Virginia.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Jack McSwain; a brother, Willie Joyner. She is survived by her children: Robbie Royals, Teri Hayes and Russ Royals (Donnie); nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Dale Joyner (Frances); one sister, Beverly Cooley (Charles).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to AIDS Service Coalition, Edward Street Fellowship, Hub City Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society in honor of Phyllis.
Active pallbearers: Ken Moulds, Wes Moulds, Reese Royals, Bubba Fullen, Scott Extine and James Bryant.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, in Forrest Chapel at 2:00 with the visitation at noon. Interment will be at Carter - McSwain Cemetery in New Augusta.
